In the midst of preparing for the orderly relocation of over 7,000 objects to The Mint Museum Uptown, Bonsai Fine Arts was asked to also relocate the monumental glass artwork conceived and created by Czech artists Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová. Consisting of 10 caste glass panels, this commissioned masterpiece was deinstalled from the Mint Museum of Craft and Design, and reinstalled onto the third floor of the brand new Mint Museum Uptown. A crew of 6 art handlers/rigging specialists fabricated and installed a new mounting system for the 7,000 pound piece in order to secure it to a plate embedded in the floor. The components were carefully disassembled, packed and moved by Bonsai Art handlers. There were several pieces of equipment fabricated in order to safely install these extremely heavy, fragile components.
